The all-volunteer members of MSU were struggling to make the most of their meeting time together. Between technical challenges and attendees not feeling well, the board meeting format was not accounting for the realities of what the participants were going through. The board recognized that a lot of time was being lost as presenters tried to overcome challenges with screen sharing. It wasn’t uncommon to have a three-to-five-minute transition time between presenters. With five to seven presenters per meeting, this was quickly adding up to unnecessarily elongated meeting times.
